In this Research Rundown we focus on breast cancer patients utilizing Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy post-radiation

Highlights:

  • For this clinical trial, data has been collected from over a thousand women who battled breast cancer with radiation treatments.
  • Since hyperbaric oxygen therapy does reduce the inflammation caused by radiation, it is going to aid in the restoration of the damaged and necrotic tissue and promote faster healing.
  • Patients experience a significate reduction in pain when hyperbaric oxygen therapy is used in combination with, or after, radiation treatment.
  • Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy has been cleared by the FDA for radiation injuries. Ultimately this means that the doctor could prescribe HBOT for the patient, with a greater possibility that insurance would cover the treatment.
